⭐️ “There are NO LIMITS”⭐️
“I wanted to say thank you for the opportunity for our children to explore the world of work. There are so many roles that didn’t exist when a good number of parents left school. It makes it hard for us to help guide. Meanwhile, traditional jobs are still invaluable but not always considered.
My daughter is a police cadet and from the experience is now determined to go to university to study Criminology, with the ambition of joining the force.
Her ballet shoes sit alongside her police boots, reminding us that there are no limits”.
Kind words from a parent to our Careers and Higher Education team following our recent careers networking event. We endeavour to support pupils to make fully informed decisions as they prepare to fly.

An Animazing Day for 1st Formers at KESW! 💫
Our 1st Form pupils recently enjoyed an exciting visit from Animazing, an interactive educational experience that brings a variety of animals into the classroom.
The sessions supported the pupils’ curriculum learning in biology, building on their earlier work creating cell models. From owls and snakes to tortoises and frogs, the pupils were able to observe and even handle many fascinating creatures.
Ms Street, who organised the visit, shared:
“The pupils saw and touched a variety of animals ranging from a Barn Owl to a Pygmy Hedgehog to a Royal Python. There were many amazed reactions as they learnt how frogs absorb substances through their skin, the tremendous lifespan of Galapagos tortoises, and how global warming is affecting the birth rate of male crocodiles.”
We look forward to welcoming Animazing back to KESW in the future.

Adventure, Growth & Resilience 🧭
At King Edward’s Witley, we’re proud to support our pupils as they rise to challenges that build confidence, leadership, and independence.
Earlier this term, nine 5th Form pupils completed their Silver Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Qualifying Expedition in the South Downs, following their practice expedition in the New Forest last September.
Meanwhile, twelve Lower Sixth Form pupils undertook a three-day training expedition in the Peak District as part of their journey towards the Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. It was an unforgettable experience in resilience, with pupils demonstrating exceptional perseverance and collaboration.

We were delighted to welcome children from local primary school, St Mary`s Chiddingfold last week. Under the careful guidance of our brilliant Design Technology teachers and supported by our outstanding 3rd Form pupils, they took part in a challenging bridge building workshop and all built their own truss bridge.
We are proud to welcome a number of local primary schools to join us in a broad variety of co-curricular activities and events throughout our academic year; a chance for pupils to try something new and an important opportunity for King Edward`s pupils to share our fantastic Design Technology facilities and support younger children in their endeavours.
Well done, St Mary`s, we look forward to you joining us again very soon.

A Land of Fire & Ice
Over the course of five unforgettable days, 40 pupils set off on a geography trip to Iceland to explore a land where volcanic forces and glacial power shape the landscape in extraordinary ways.
From the steamy waters of the Secret Lagoon, hiking to the base of powerful waterfalls like Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss, and standing in awe of the geysers and tectonic rifts at Thingvellir National Park, to visiting the stunning Reynisfjara black sand beach, the Elheimer Museum, and a Lava Tunnel tour which showcased the raw power of past eruptions; geography came vividly to life.
All returned home tired but exhilarated, with new friendships forged and memories that will last a lifetime.
Our passionate, dedicated teachers truly take education beyond the classroom to new heights.

With a superb, emotionally connected performance delivered by each and every young actor on the stage, last weeks performance of the Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time was nothing short of a dramatic triumph.
Under the meticulous creative direction of Nikki Plowman, Director of Drama, an exceptional cast & crew brought her creative vision to life, telling the powerful story of Christopher, a 15 year old boy who is neurodivergent.
With carefully timed and choreographed staging, props, technology & effects the audience was seamlessly transported through fast moving scenes; travelling from Wiltshire to London and back again whilst exploring the themes truth, logic and independence.
HUGE congratulations to everyone involved in staging this BRILLIANT production. Bravo, brava, and encore!!
