2000: Kerr Fulton Peebles appointed Headmaster.
2002: Service of Thanksgiving held at St. Paul’s Cathedral for the founding of the hospitals of Christ, Bridewell and St. Thomas.
2003: King Edward’s joins the Lord Mayor’s Parade, celebrating 450 years of providing education and honouring Ridley’s vision of “A place to lodge Christ in”.
2004: King Edward’s introduces the International Baccalaureate (IB).
2006: HRH The Duchess of Gloucester becomes President of Bridewell Royal Hospital. New astro turf opened by HRH the Duchess of Gloucester.
2008: Dining Hall refurbished to increase capacity and re-opened with the addition of servery.
2010: John Attwater appointed Headmaster.
2012: Piccadilly Café opened, becoming a social hub for pupils, staff, parents and the local community. The tradition of lessons on Saturday mornings replaced with a programme of activities.
2013: Ridley House refurbished and re-opened by HRH The Duchess of Gloucester. The Foundation celebrates 460th anniversary with an event a Mansion House reaffirming historic links with the City of London.
2014: Business & Finance Centre opened as well as new Fitness Suite and resurfaced hard courts. Selbourne Room refurbished creating a venue for functions and performances.
