King Edward’s Witley—Achieving the Eco-Schools Green Flag with Distinction.

This short film captures a pivotal moment in our journey at King Edward’s Witley—achieving the Eco-Schools Green Flag with Distinction.

More than a badge, this recognition marked a shift. It catalysed the founding of the City of London Youth Natural Environment Board (YNEB)—a bold, youth-led platform for driving environmental governance from the ground up.

In collaboration with Mr Simon Lightman, Sustainability Lead, we are especially proud of the leadership shown by Jacob Sprake and Olivier Hinds, whose clarity of vision and commitment to systems change continue to inspire. Their work has helped shape YNEB into a space where young people are not just heard—but empowered to act, challenge, and lead.

At King Edward’s we’ve committed to going beyond symbolic sustainability. This film reflects that—showcasing how a school community, when trusted and energised, can spark something far greater than itself.
