The Artist in Residence role includes helping run classes and workshop for the School, and working on her own art, developing her own styles and creating new pieces. Miss Trussler said “Recycling and the ethos of sustainability is important to me therefore I hope that in some way we can introduce more of this whilst I am here. Everyone must start somewhere…The need to recycle and practise more conscious buying is needed more then ever. As an Artist in Residence, I hope to do two main things; Focus on my work and expand my portfolio and new collections, such as producing silk scarves and kaftans by the Spring/Summer and a new drawing/painting collection for Upfest. I also want to hold Workshops for pupils and adults and work within in the Art Department supporting the Art Department team within classes and Activity Groups.”
